The Mines and fields tab shows the land of your lordship, it is above the notifications area.
The land is divided into a square grid You may only build one improvement per plot on the grid.
Three actions can be performed on each plot.
- Prospect Underground
- Convert into Cultivation Plot
- Construire un Livestock Farm

After Prospecting Underground (which takes a year) you can take 3 other actions.:
- Construct a Stone Quarry
- Construct an Iron Mine
- Construct a Saltpeter Mine
If a mine is used up (runs out of resources) then you must prospect again and rebuild the mine.
